Halfway through the MTC!

They love to play UNO!

For part of his French class they teach him then he has to go film himself saying what he learned. Here’s a video of Caleb speaking French!❤️

Here’s a cool bird!

Elders entertaining themselves between classes!

He sleeps on the fourth floor. He’s definitely getting his exercise with the elevator being worked on!

Another video of Caleb speaking French!

His email from this week:

Bonjour tout le monde!

This week has been fun and boring at the same time. Everyday we basically have the same schedule. We get up, go to breakfast, go to class, go to lunch, go to class, go to gym, go to class, go to dinner, go to class, and then go to bed. There have been some cool things though.

On Friday we had a special devotional. Everyone of the employees were on call, and were super organized. It was the biggest event here that I had seen. Elder Michael T. Ringwood from something in the 70 showed up and talked. We all hoped an apostle was going to come tho. The cool part though was his father-in-law is President Nelson. Elder Ringwood's wife is President Nelson's 8th daughter. He talked a lot about missionary work, and he thanked us for answering a call from a prophet. He also shared that President Nelson sends his love which was cool.

Other than that it was a standard week. Our French has been going well. We spent a lot of time this week learning how to teach, testify, and pray in French, even though we kind of knew how to do some of that. We had to give a 10 minute lesson in French which was rough, but we did it.

Funny story. Everyone gets out of class at 9pm, so getting to our rooms is crazy. The guys have one elevator for 4 floors, and so it gets packed. The elevator is pretty big, and can hold 24 people. Well one night they managed to get 30 on it, and the elevator stopped and wouldn't move until people got off. It was awesome.

We had a MTC devotional yesterday, and one thing that stood out to me was this quote, although i dont remember exactly how it went, "the more you ignore the spirit, the less the spirit will trust you. The more you listen to the spirit, the bigger the instrument you are in His work." The Holy Ghost usually speaks to us in a still small voice. If we are struggling to hear the Holy Ghost, we need to change our lives so that we CAN hear him, and then ACT on the impressions we get.

À bientôt!
