Week 37 Pukey & Easter
Monday❤️!
His zone and new area.
This is Elder Stucki from Alabama. He was funny. He got on the call with Caleb and was chatting with us too!
This was Caleb’s lunch Alloco he got while talking to us.
The amazing pagne Caleb found in his new area! It’s hard to see in the picture but it has gold striping on it.
His new area Niangon Sud.
Bryan put this picture in chat GPT and it said it was a dead Wolfe spider😳!
The nice pagne shop!
You can see the gold stripes better in this picture.
This is how they make bagged water! So cool! Except it’s not clean enough for Americans to drink.
Frogs for sale, Caleb did not buy or eat them! He said his companion wanted a picture of them so he distracted the lady while he snapped a picture.
Caleb got really sick this week on Wednesday and puked four times. So it was comforting when we saw this picture of food a couple days later. He was able to eat again!
Big rain storm.
Weird Kung Fu panda series that was on at someone’s house.
Cute cat.
Here is his email for the week:
Salut
This week was an up and down week. It started off Monday for p-day. We went to the stake center and played soccer. Because we share the stake center with another zone, those elders were there as well. It was a lot of fun. Then we went searching for pagne. There is a really good pagne place at the edge of our zone so we went over there and got some amazing pagne. We already got them made into ties and I should get them today.
Tuesday we had district council. Tuesday evening was good. We had an appointment with two ladies. They contacted us last week and said they want to change and stop drinking alcohol. We were like great let's do this. When we showed up they were in front of the bar, passed out, and a lot of emptied alcohol bottles in front of them on the table. Needless to say we didn't teach them.
Wednesday I woke up feeling a bit weird. We went out to sector in the morning and I felt okay, just slightly uneasy. We came back to the apartment for lunch and I just slept. Right before we left, j'ai vomi beaucoup. I was determined to go out to sector because we had a lot of important lessons, and so we went out. Before we could start the lesson j’ai vomi encore. I couldn't do it and so we went back to the apartment. I texted Sister Litchfield and she said if it was bad the next day, to go to the hospital. The next day I was fine, I just didn't have an appetite. I've been fine since, so I assume and hope it was food poisoning.
Friday was an awesome day. We had weekly planning in the morning, and then went out to sector at 2pm like normal. Between 2:30pm and 7:30pm we taught 6 different lessons. We usually do 3-5 a day, but 6 is hard to do, especially when we didn’t go out in the morning. It was a fun day though.
Saturday it rained a lot in the morning, and there was no sun for the rest of the day which was amazing. Sunday was Easter. We didn't do much. We had 1 hour church and then went to sector like normal.
Sorry this one is a bit shorter. This next week should be crazy. We have elders staying over at our apartment, exchanges, zone conference, and probably something else that I'm forgetting.
Spiritual Thought:
I was studying about Easter this week and I saw something interesting. In the Guide to the Scriptures there is a section on Easter. If you click on it though, it simply says: See: Jesus Christ; Resurrection.
For me I thought that was so powerful. Easter is focused solely on Jesus Christ and that he is resurrected. I couldn't choose just one scripture to share because the scriptures testify of everything he did and continues to do. I'm grateful to have a testimony to know that He lives and knows every single one of us. Unlike some people we teach, I know he came to earth, died, and was resurrected with his body the third day. Because of Him everything is possible.
Thanks for your prayers and I hope you guys have a great week!
Elder Robinson
