Week 58 Sept 8-14th 2025

I just love his smiling face. I am so beyond grateful to be able to see and talk to him each week.

His companion Elder Bimai made this bread for a family. It looks so impressive!

Holy power lines!

Baptism for Sœur Deborah.

It was Caleb's companion Elder Bimai's birthday Sunday!

Elder Bimai shook up their nonalcoholic champagne and sprayed it! You can't tell in the picture but it is all over the ceiling!

Wow that candle is massive! Caleb said the flame was much bigger before this picture!

His email for this week:

bom, baptism, birthday

Salut

This week was a pretty solid week. Last P-Day was pretty chill. We went to the stake center and played soccer. When we went out to sector we had a lesson with Prince Eddy. He is a guy that we've been teaching for a bit. As we sat down the Spirit immediately said that we needed to ask him to be baptized sometime during this lesson. We did, and he said he would pray about it.

Tuesday we had an interesting district council. Elder Bimai made a cake for a family in our sector, so we went and delivered it to them. That was fun.

Wednesday we had another appointment with Prince Eddy. He shared with us his story how in January he felt a spiritual hole in him and since then it had gotten bigger even though he was going to his church. He had prayed to God to find the truth and hadn't gotten a response. When he started feeling like God wasn't going to respond, unknowingly, Elder Bimai and I contacted him. At first he didn't want to listen to us, but over time his desire grew. He said now that we have taught him, he feels like this hole in him is going away every time we teach him. He then shared how he knows what we're saying is true. He had also shared how he had read the Book of Mormon, and then prayed to know if he needed to be baptized. He said he got a strong answer saying yes. It was a pretty cool story.

Thursday we had no water… yako. Friday we had a lesson with Bleu Michel. He is a guy that comes to church often, but we were never able to have a lesson with him. Friday he called us and said to come over. We met up and then went to his place. We talked about the sacrament, the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Book of Mormon, and baptism. As we were reading about baptism in the Book of Mormon, he sincerely asked us how he could get a Book of Mormon. We were just like, “there is one in your hands right? Well now it's yours.” He also accepted to be baptized and is so ready. It was so cool.

Saturday we had the baptism for Sœur Deborah. Only two people from our ward were there, and that's because one of them was her sister. Love ivorian baptisms… Other than that it actually went really well. In the afternoon we had a lesson with this young woman. En tout cas, I don't know if we'll go back there. It was our first and probably last appointment with her. She hugged us when we showed up, so we just stood there like a tree and stared at each other. She also wouldn't stop touching Elder Bimai. It was pretty bizarre, especially because she was more interested in le noir instead of le blanc haha.

Sunday was a chill day. It was Elder Bimai's birthday, so Saturday night we bought a ton of food. Sunday we had a good time in sector. We had our Book of Mormon call with President and Sister Vore. We ate cake and ice cream for Elder Bimai's birthday. He also bought one of those champagne drinks and sprayed it all over the place which was sweet.

This week we have zone conference and Saturday we will learn about transfers.

Spiritual Thought:

Alma 13:27-29

“And now, my brethren, I wish from the inmost part of my heart, yea, with great anxiety even unto pain, that ye would hearken unto my words, and cast off your sins, and not procrastinate the day of your repentance;

“But that ye would humble yourselves before the Lord, and call on his holy name, and watch and pray continually, that ye may not be tempted above that which ye can bear, and thus be led by the Holy Spirit, becoming humble, meek, submissive, patient, full of love and all long-suffering;

“Having faith on the Lord; having a hope that ye shall receive eternal life; having the love of God always in your hearts, that ye may be lifted up at the last day and enter into his rest.”

As we watch and pray always, humble ourselves, and have faith on the Lord, we can be led by the Holy Ghost to become more Christlike, and one day have eternal life.

Thanks for your prayers and I hope you guys have a wonderful week!
