Week 59 Sep 15th-21st 2025

I was having fun watching him eat chicken while we were talking to him.

Blue eyed kid again. It is crazy half of his eye is black.

Elder Bimai fell asleep!

They had to go through a market to get to a place they were going to. Caleb filmed some of it as he was walking through. Here is the link to the video

Caleb's email for the week:

zone conference, transfer news, baptism invitations

Salut tout le monde

This week was a solid week. Last p-day was chill. Instead of going out to sector, we went out so I could do a baptismal interview for a guy. He is a cool guy, and has had some problems in the past, but it is cool to see how he has changed.

Tuesday we had Zone Conference. It went really well. Me and Elder Basombela did our key indicators presentation and some role plays. We talked a lot about the mission's vision and helping people get baptized. We got KFC for lunch which was great as usual. After zone conference President did both of the zone's interviews. It took a while and we were some of the last people to leave. When we left we took a Yango, but this Yango was a midsized SUV. It was the first time I had seen that. It was sweet.

Wednesday we had a lot of appointments. One appointment was with two ladies and a young woman. One of the ladies has come to church a few times. The other lady and the young woman are Catholic, but the lady has come to church once. A few weeks ago we had talked about baptism, but none of them were interested because they had already been baptized in their churches. During zone conference President talked about how we should read the doctrine of baptism in the Book of Mormon, and then ask them to be baptized. So that's what we did. All of them accepted to be baptized. Me and Elder Bimaï were so surprised. The Book of Mormon is so powerful.

Thursday we had our last district council for the transfer. Friday we had weekly planning, and then only one lesson in the afternoon which was unfortunate. Saturday was a very busy day. That night we learned about transfers. Elder Bimaï is transferred, and I'll stay here for one more transfer.

Sunday we had a good day. In the afternoon we went around so that Elder Bimaï could say goodbye to everyone. We had a couple mangez-vous which were fun.

This week we have transfers, so I'll get a new companion. I'm excited to see what will happen.

Spiritual Thought:

D&C 21:5-6

“For his word ye shall receive, as if from mine own mouth, in all patience and faith.

“For by doing these things the gates of hell shall not prevail against you; yea, and the Lord God will disperse the powers of darkness from before you, and cause the heavens to shake for your good, and his name’s glory.”

This week we had a lesson with some new members, and we were talking about the prophets and their importance. As we were sharing this scripture, I remember how grateful I am that we have a living prophet of God on the earth. I am also grateful that we get to hear from him in a couple weeks. I encourage you guys to get ready for general conference, because it is a special moment for us to receive personal revelation, feel the Spirit, and coming closer to Christ.

Thanks for your prayers and I hope you guys have a wonderful week!
