Week 68 Nov 17-23rd
I 100% believe Caleb has angels watching over him.
I love his smile! 🥰
Caleb took the language test and got a 6.5. A 7 is fluent in the language, so he is doing great!
This is Caleb's teaching area.
Luckily the Stott’s took pictures and uploaded them so we saw these pictures on the mission Facebook page, I’m so grateful! Caleb doing his presentation at zone conference.
Pres and Sister Vore talking at zone conference.
Zone pictures.
He met a guy that served a mission there in 1993! Caleb said it was crazy seeing some photos and hearing some stories that he shared.
He found advent calendars, and escargots praline!
Yum!
It’s always fun to play where’s Waldo when we see pictures uploaded to the mission Facebook page! Can you find Caleb?! Another zone conference.
His email for the week:
Salut tout le monde
This week was a great week and a lot of good things happened. Last week we went to the Toit Rouge stake center and played soccer. We left and headed back to the apartment. My comp left our apartment keys in the office elders truck, but luckily they were able to come and drop them off for us. In the evening we spent a while getting ready for zone conferences.
Tuesday and Wednesday we had zone conferences for the Dabou, Yopougon Attie, Niangon centre, and Tiassale zones. They went great. For both of them, Me and Elder Mondongue did presentations about faith and how to go back and find grey dots. Luckily the zone conferences didn’t take too much time so we were able to go out to sector after each conference.
Thursday we had absolutely nothing, which included teaching appointments. It was awesome because we had the whole day to go contacting. We found a lot of friends which was awesome. We also met a member who served a mission here in 1993. It was crazy seeing some photos and hearing some stories that he shared.
Friday we had weekly planning. During it we hopped on a video call with the Senegal zone and shared our presentation about faith. Friday afternoon and Saturday we went out to sector and had a great time. There was one lesson we taught. One is Ivorian, and the other is from Liberia. One doesn’t speak English and the other doesn’t speak French. Me and Elder Mondongue did the lesson in English and French at the same time. It was fun bouncing between the two languages.
Sunday we had a good time. We invited a ton of friends to come to church, but not a ton showed up even though they promised. The office elders came to church with us which was fun. In the afternoon it was chill because we talked with President for a while.
Tomorrow we have a district activity and this week we have more zone conferences.
Spiritual Thought:
Ether 12:6: “Faith is things which are hoped for and not seen; wherefore, dispute not because ye see not, for ye receive no witness until after the trial of your faith.”
James 2:17: “Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.”
Ether 12:14-15: “Behold, it was the faith of Nephi and Lehi that wrought the change upon the Lamanites, that they were baptized with fire and with the Holy Ghost.
“Behold, it was the faith of Ammon and his brethren which wrought so great a miracle among the Lamanites.”
This week we talked a lot about faith during our zone conferences, and these scriptures stood out to me. Faith is a principle of action. If we want to see miracles in our life, we need to do things. We can't just sit around and wait for stuff to happen. As we put our faith in action, we will be able to see miracles in our life.
Thanks for your prayers and I hope you guys have a wonderful week!
