Week 83 March 9th-15th
Frere Bado is just awesome and works so hard. He is always going with the missionaries to teach. I am not sure if he even sleeps.
Ice cream at the airport! They were taking Elder Reed there to head home.
President Vore's nice car! Caleb actually got to drive it at one point so President could eat his food! It is a nice Honda Pilot.
Sleeping Elder Rako💤!
Caleb had to drive this massive mission van, which has no back up camera mind you! Look at his great parking job!
All ready for transfers!
Transfers...
Salut
This week was absolutely crazy, but a lot of fun.
Last P-day wasn’t really a p-day because we were at the office all morning getting ready for transfers. In the afternoon we had some time to call family and do some things.
Tuesday we were at the office. We spent a lot of time with the Vore’s and doing some other things. In the evening we took Elder Reed to the airport so he could head home.
Wednesday was a long but very fun. In the morning we headed to the office and did some things. Around lunch time we went with the Vore’s to the airport to pick up the new missionaries. We picked up 11 of them. We got Burger King for all of them. They took a while to get out, but it was alright. On the way back we went with Frere Bouassa, aka the mission chauffeur. He is really good at driving and was able to shave off 20 minutes on the way back which was so fun.
We trained the new missionaries and made sure they got food. Elder Rako was not feeling well so I dropped him off at the apartment with another elder so he could sleep. We went to the Vore’s house to drop off our truck, and then went with the Vore’s to the airport. President and Sister Vore wanted to eat their dinner so they let me drive them in their car to the airport. Their car is really nice and it was a lot of fun. We picked up one Elder from the Provo MTC and helped him get to the office elders apartment for the night.
Thursday was transfers. We first went to Toit Rouge and did the sisters transfer. After we went to Selmer and did the Elders transfer. It was fun since we had the elders in Senegal and Gambia join with Zoom. After we did a trainer training, new DL and STL training, and helped all of the missionaries get to their respective sectors.
Friday morning we went to Pisam so my comp could get his eyes checked out. Then we went to the office to help missionaries going to and from Senegal and the Gambia. We also helped clean up the office a bit. It was fun.
Saturday we went to sector. It was fun. In the evening we traded our truck for the mission van. It was fun driving the van. Sunday we had stake conference. It went pretty well. In the afternoon we went to sector with the office elders.
After a very long week we made it to p-day. Today we are doing nothing since we are so tired. We’ll do some stuff at the office and go eat somewhere since it’s an Elder’s birthday.
Spiritual Thought:
Doctrine and Covenants 8:2-3 “Yea, behold, I will tell you in your mind and in your heart, by the Holy Ghost, which shall come upon you and which shall dwell in your heart. 3 Now, behold, this is the spirit of revelation”
Thanks for your prayers and I hope you guys have a great week!
