Monday call!

Tuesday birthday phone call!!

I sent Elder Christensen a message asking him to make sure Caleb goes out and gets a yummy lunch for his birthday and he totally did!! I love Elder Christensen! He also gave him a tie and some treats. I am so so so grateful!

His birthday cake he got! 

They took the birthday cake to Family Home Evening. They sang happy birthday to him and he shared the cake with them. The sisters put cake on his face!

Gushers! This is the treat Elder Christensen gave him for his birthday.

This is the tie Elder Christensen gave Caleb. It was so nice of him and so fun since he will be going to BYUI!

Caleb asked President if he could join him and the departing missionaries at the temple since they were going right after MLC and he said yes! So he got to go and it was such a cool experience. After doing a session they went to do sealings and they had some live ones happening so they got to sit in on those. He got to see two widows sealed to their spouses along with a couple of their kids. Caleb and president noticed one of the kids being very restless then he looked up and looked as if he was looking at someone and then was still the rest of the time. He and president were very touched by what they saw and felt.

These last two weeks have been great.

Two weeks ago we had exchanges with the APs. Elder Bahr came over and worked in Andokoi, which is his old sector. We had fun talking that night, and had a great day in sector. The next day I was with Elder Moses. We also had a zone activity this day. The zone activity was alright, but the rain made it not efficace because people in the zone don’t work hard when it rains. I had a great time with Elder Moses and was able to visit my old sector for a bit which was lit.

Some people in this world just love talking… like too much. We had to do a lot of listening with a couple of our friends this week which was…

Last Tuesday was my birthday. It was a fun day. We went to Cosmos with Elder Christensen and his comp and had a great lunch. We had a chill day in sector, and in the evening had a family home evening. We brought some cake and had a great time. It doesn’t feel like I’m 20 mais ca va aller.

Thanks to everyone who sent me birthday wishes. I couldn’t respond to all of them, but I read all of them and am very grateful for all of you.

Wednesday was a muslim holiday and I saw and smelled way too much blood.

Friday we had MLC. It was great as always. After my ZL comp, Elder Christensen, went to the temple with the other departing missionaries. I asked President to join them and he said yeah. It was such a cool experience, and I got to see two widows get sealed to their spouses, along with a couple and their kids. It was such a cool experience.

This week is transfers. It’s weird not knowing everything, but it is also nice since I get to enjoy transfers.

15 Yea, he that truly humbleth himself, and repenteth of his sins, and endureth to the end, the same shall be blessed ...

16 Therefore, blessed are they who humble themselves without being compelled to be humble;

Humility. It's not easy sometimes, but it is so important. If you don't understand it, please spend time learning about humility. Sometimes when people tell us something, we have a tendency to not listen because we don't want to be wrong or embarrassed. Sometimes “the truth [is] hard, for it cutteth them to the very center.” (1 Nephi 16:2) This is something I am working on, and will have to work on for the rest of my life. But as we humble ourselves and try to become as a child, we will be able to inherit the kingdom of God.
