Week 78 Feb 2nd-8th 2026

I think these are the ties he had made from his Senegal pagne.

Shopping for the missionaries!

Early morning at the temple. He was picking up things from the stake center by it but got a picture.

Bats!

I think this is the entrance to the nice apartment.

This is a really nice apartment that use to be for a senior couple. They just use it when they need to now.

Caleb was the tech guy for the meeting with Elder Ojediran.

One of the slides he shared.

Always fun to see his buddies from the MTC.

Holy bugs!

Ciril’s baptism.

Caleb loves Frere Bouassa. He is the mission chauffeur and hilarious. The president needed to get somewhere in a hurry so he went a little fast and Caleb was texting him about it after.

His email:

Elder Ojediran...

Salut

This was a long, but amazing week, so yeah.

Last monday we went to Toit Rouge for a bit. We went with the office elders to Cocody to do some things. We left the office at around 23h which was rough.

Tuesday morning was pretty chill. We went to the office and did some things. Then Elder Rakotomanana and I went to the Cocody stake center to see if the building was open and clean. It was clean and mostly open. We coordinated with some people to get the stake offices open for Elder Ojediran who was coming in the afternoon.

We went to China Mall and Abidjan mall with the office elders to get a bunch of things. The office elders bought too many things for the amount of money that we had on us, but it all worked out. We then went to the Cocody stake center and met up with missionaries that would be interviewed by him. It was a downpour and didn’t have any umbrellas. Luckily we borrowed two from others in the building and went and greeted the Ojediran’s and Vore’s.

Our job was to make sure that everything went well, and for the most part it did. While we were there we helped set up for the next day. Once it was done we helped some missionaries get some transport, and helped some sisters get dinner and get to their apartment.

We got up very early on Wednesday morning because we had to be at the Cocody stake center by 6h30. We had a mostly mission conference with Elder Ojediran. I say mostly because the Senegal and Gambia missionaries had theirs on Monday. The conference went really well. Everyone seemed to really enjoy it and learned a lot. I know though that I definitely learned a lot.

Once the conference was finished we had lunch. It was a very good lunch except that we were a little behind schedule, and there were a lot of missionaries to feed. For most of the people on MLC they didn’t have time to finish since we had to go start a MLC meeting with Elder Ojediran. The MLC was short, but good. It was mostly a discussion of what we all learned throughout the conference.

After we helped get all of the missionaries out. I hit the limit of Yango’s (they are like Ubers) able to order at once which was funny. Then we went and had a good dinner since it was Elder Lenderman’s birthday.

Thursday we had district council which was rough. Then Elder Rako and I went to sector. It was great. Friday we had weekly planning and then meetings at the office.

Saturday we had Ciril’s baptism. It was great to see him get baptized and to see how the gospel has changed him. The rest of the day we went to sector, and then had a really late night.

Sunday was chill. Today we are planning to chill.

This week we don’t have much, just exchanges so it should be great.

Spiritual Thought:

One of the things Elder Ojediran shared that I really liked was towards the beginning when he talked about the hymn “I’ll go where you want me to go.” He then shared the last line where it says, “I’ll be what you want me to be.” He then asked us if we are trying to be who we want to be, or if we are trying to be what the Lord wants us to be. I invite all of us to take some time to think about this. Take some time to see if where you are headed is where you want to go, or where the Lord wants you to go and be. Hopefully we will all be able to find something in our lives that we could do better at.

Thanks for your prayers and I hope you guys have a wonderful week!
